Standard Check
This is about a 5 min check to fill out the paperwork and validate with the DOJ
$5.00 per transaction for Eligibility Check for customers with:
- At least 1 firearm recorded in the “AFS” Automated Firearm System, that matches your current name and address.
- Purchased or Registered a Long Gun since 2014
- Purchased or Registered a Handgun since 1990
Basic Check
If you have not purchased a long gun or handgun in the time listed above then you will need the Basic Check. This carries a fee of $19.00 per transaction.
